Gor Mahia FC has dropped captain Jerry Onyango together with former AFC Leopards dangerman Jacob Kelli.
The two are among the 10 players the side released as it regroups for the 2017 Kenya Premier League season.
According to Futaa, Jerry will be joining politics and requested to part with the side.
Others affected by the axe include goalkeepers Sammy Okinda and Gradus Ochieng, defenders Luke Ochieng, Bernard Ochieng, and Jackson Saleh.
Baron Jobita, Ronald Omino and former Belgium-based Chrispin Odula are the midfielders whose services will no longer be required.
