Former WesternStima midfield maestro Kenneth Muguna during the KPL gala awards. He has joined Gor Mahia alongside his team mate Joash Onyango.

Former Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have completed signing of Western Stima captain Joash Onyango and Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the year 2016 Kenneth Muguna.

Organizing Secretary Judith Onyango confirmed that the club has been monitoring the two for the last couple of months.

"Joash and Muguna are now our players, we have completed negotiations both with them and their former club and they have both signed contracts with us," Ms. Onyango said.

"We have been monitoring them for the last couple of months and they were our prime targets. We are happy as a club that they will add more value in our team," she added.

Onyango was a solid rock in Stima’s defense while Muguna showcased in the midfield in 2016 and was rewarded with MVP in the KPL gala awards.

The pair will now don the green jersey in 2017 as Gor Mahia continue bolstering their squad ahead of the new season.
