ODM leader Raila Odinga is not interested in punishing rebel Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa despite recommendations by disciplinary committee, it has emerged.

At Parliament on Wednesday, the two leaders met at the gallery and were seen having light moment in the company of other leaders among them Kalonzo Musyoka.

Borabu MP Ben Momanyi now says the two reconciled with Raila insisting that he has nothing against Jumwa's political decisions.

"Raila told her she had a right to associate with anybody butshbut should make a decision if ODM fields candidate. He also said that he has not intention to have her kicked out of the party," he said in a telephone interview.

Jumwa has been leading DP William Ruto's coastal campaigns despite being ejected on the ODM ticket.

On Thursday, the second term MP took on social media to laud Mr Odinga following their first ever meeting in as many months.
