Renowned business journalist Richard Quest was forced to respond to a tweet made by former Citizen Television anchor Julie Gichuru that appeared to misquote him.
"Nothing beats the service industry in Kenya...Here I am surrounded by giraffes while having breakfast! In a country declared by the World Bank as the preferred investment destination in Africa, what else can I ask for?" Julie's tweet read.
Within no time, Quest responded, disowning the quote attributed to him by the former Kenyan television queen.
"@JulieGichuru Ahh Julie.... a nice pic and sentiment. But I never actually said that! (Even though I am having a very good visit)," Quest reacted to Julie's tweet.
In spite of disowning the quotes, Quest confirmed that he had enjoyed his visit to Kenya.
The CNN anchor visited the country this week on assignment and conducted an interview with marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge.
