A Nyamira politician and businessman Justus Ooga Rasugu has vowed to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 presidential elections.
Rasugu, the Federal Party of Kenya (FPK) director of elections Nyanza also accused Uhuru of failing to fight corruption in his government.
Speaking on Thursday at the memorial ceremony of the late George Anyona Moseti , Rasugu said he is the best placed to lead this country saying both President Uhuru and opposition leader Raila Odinga have failed Kenyans.
Rasugu was upbeat that come 2017, his name will be on the ballot for the top seat, and urged Kenyans to elect him so that he can transform this country.
“I would like to tell all Kenyans that in the next general election, let them expect my name as one of the presidential candidates who is looking forward to transforming this nation,“ the businessman added.
He also said that they will give the Kisii community the direction they will follow in the next polls, and accused a section of leaders who recently visited State House, Nairobi to hold talks with Uhuru.
“As the only party from Kisii after some leaders dissolved Ford People in favour of Jubilee Party, we are organising a major declaration in which we will direct the community on who to follow,” added Rasugu
Also in attendance was Nyamira Senator Okongo Mong’are who accused the Uhuru of failing to address the graft in his government.
