Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said that he has waited for long enough and now it is his turn to vie for presidency during the next general polls.
Speaking during the wiper party national delegate conference at the Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday, Kalonzo affirmed that he is ready to send President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto home.
According to Kalonzo, he has supported many leaders to vie for the top seat and it’s his time to become the next president of this republic.
"I was ready in 2002 when Raila Odinga and I were campaigning for former President Mwai Kibaki. But I decided to be patient. It is time for to go that seat. I have bitten the bullet for close to ten years," Kalonzo said, as quoted by the Star.
The former vice President also said that Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) must change its political strategies in order to smoke out Uhuruto from power during the upcoming polls.
"I say this with a lot of tears in my heart. Raila and I have been betrayed for a very long time...and that must change. We have to come up with a new strategy to beat Jubilee," Kalonzo said.
He added: "I have seen enough pretense and betrayal in this country. This is something that must not be tolerated by Kenyans.”
