Joseph briefed the president on the latest initiatives on restructuring of the national carrier.
According to a communique from PSCU Joseph updated Kenyatta on the current process of recruiting a new Chief Executive of the airline as well as other initiatives aimed at strengthening the national carrier.
The outgoing CEO Mbuvi Ngunze is set to leave the KQ, in bid to enhance the airline's performance.
On his part, president Kenyatta pledged to support the Board's initiatives.
He said Kenya Airways was key to the government's efforts of making Nairobi an African aviation hub.
