Kiambu girl demands missing marks from Matiang'i
A Kiambu girl who sat for Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (K.C.P.E) in 2016 has pleaded with Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i to order Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to produce her English and Mathematics missing marks.

Jael Wanjiku Ndirangu, a former student at St. Gerard Academy in Kieni, Nyeri County says she has never traced her marks despite contacting Mtihani House, a move that could hinder her dreams of joining secondary school.

Sarah Nyambura, Jael's mother, said she has been camping at the KNEC offices for more than a week now demanding an explanation but officials haven't given satisfactory explanation.

She said her daughter has panicked as officials at the examinations body continue dismissing her calls.

“My daughter is crying asking me what she will do and the KNEC officials are not responding,” she said.

“The only thing they are telling me is to look for a secondary school that can admit my daughter with the missing marks. How is that possible?” asked Nyambura.

The Ministry of Education has announced that form one students are expected to report as from 9th this month.
