Uhuru, First Lady delighted after Kadenge visit

President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed happiness after he visited Kenya's most famed soccer legend Joe Kadenge at his home in South B.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the president posted a photo of himself, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and the legendary Kadenge receiving a branded AFC Leopards jersey.

He thanked Kadenge and said that he (Kadenge) was an embodiment of the spirit of patriotism in Kenya's founding fathers.

"Visited soccer great and national hero Joe Kadenge at his home in South "B", Nairobi after he expressed a wish to see me. Kadenge is a patriot and embodies the commitment by our founding fathers to build one strong united nation," he said.

He added: "I gave him an NHIF card so he and his family have access to medical care. I thanked him for his service to Kenya and for the football and AFC Leopards replica shirt bearing his name and his famed number 7."

Kadenge had initially asked to meet the president, saying that he wanted to meet the leader before he 'departed from the world' since his body did not 'like' him anymore.
