A Form One student disrupted learning at Nyeri High School after he reported to school riding in a chopper.
Activities at the school came to a standstill as the chopper touched down.
The student, Kevin Muriuki, who sat 2016 KCPE at Karichen Primary School, was the man of the moment Wednesday morning after becoming the first student to ever report to the school in a chopper.
Many thought Muriuki was the son of who-is-who in Kenya, especially within the political class, but that was not the case.
He is a son to casual labourers and his metallic box said as much.
He was flown to the school courtesy of sponsors after he expressed his ambition of pursuing aviation.
His sponsors, the Kenya Air Force Veterans Association, made him taste the feeling by giving him his first trip to school in a chopper, a local news site reported.
Kenya Air Force Veterans Association official Carnal Joseph King’ori, said they will ensure the boy achieves his dreams.
Muriuki rode in the chopper with his parents and could not hide their joy.
The shy boy thanked his sponsors and promised to work hard.
