​Uasin Gishu County Alcoholics and Drinks Control Board in conjunction with County Enforcement Officers on Monday netted over 2000 sachets of illicit alcohol in Munyaka Estate.Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan said the illicit  brews were packaged  in plastic sachets."We suspect that the brands are from neighbouring country since their packaging is not known," he said in Eldoret town, Monday."Some labels indicating a packaging warning of over 21 years which doesn't suit the normal warning brands," he added. He also revealed that police are investigating chances that they are being packaged here in the country."We have started investigation and anyone who will be found involve in the scum will he arrested and charged," noted Hassan.He, however, warned businessmen against selling illicit liquor in sachets since its banned in the county. Chairman of the County Alcoholic Drinks and Control Board, Mr Elijah Cherus, said the brands are not among those licensed and called on the business people to focus on genuine businesses.
