Uhuru is touring Meru County in a bid to popularize Jubilee Party, a party he expects to ride on in defending his presidential seat in August.

A source said the youth were dejected because Jubilee had not fulfilled its promises to the youth in the county.

He said the youth wanted the president to tell them where the jobs he promised them in 2013 were.

A video shared and circulating on social media shows a group of youth dressed in Jubilee Party-branded T-shirts removing them and subsequently burning.

They are also heard chanting pro-ODM party leader Raila Odinga's slogans.

Uhuru is on a countrywide tour mobilizing Kenyans to register as voters ahead of the August 8, polls.

Mr Odinga is expected to tour Meru later in March.
