Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili is popularly known as Babu Owino has hit out on Jubilee's party candidate for Kibra by-election MacDonald Mariga.
Through a Facebook post, Babu Owino who Orange Democratic Movement's (ODM) member has said that Mariga is an academic dwarf who has no good plans for the Kibra residents.
According to Owino, Kibra residents should not replace their late legislator Ken Okoth with Mariga in the upcoming mini-poll, which is scheduled for 7th November this year.
"We will never replace an academician Hon. Ken Okoth with an academic dwarf, an academic orphan, an academic demagogue and an academic lily wart. Instead of building schools, he will build castles in the air. Mariga for FKF Chairman. Ngeli ya dham dham dham," the outspoken legislator posted.
Babu is strongly behind ODM's candidate and Ken Okoth' s brother Imran Benard Okoth. The race to succeed Okoth who was a lawmaker on an ODM party ticket has continued to gather momentum and spark hot political debates as ODM party vow to retain the seat and teach Jubilee party a lesson.
Kibra is believed to be Raila Odinga's stronghold and FORD-Kenya and ANC parties have also joined the race thus making it more competitive.
Kibra constituency parliamentary seat fell vacant after its immediate former MP Ken Okoth succumbed to cancer in July this year.
