Earlier, Murkomen had scolded Kutuny in the Citizen TV interview, accusing him of demeaning Deputy President William Ruto.

"He's busy abusing DP William Ruto yet he picked him from charcoal selling to make him MP. It's time that he respects Ruto," Murkomen said.

Kutuny had sensationally dragged Ruto's name to controversial payments of Sh2.5 billion by NCPB, arguing that Ruto's company, Koilel Farm Limited, was paid Sh20 million.

And in a rejoinder, Kutuny reminded on how he played a major role in his election as first senator of Elgeyo-Marakwet in 2013.

"Also remember, I picked you from streets to make you senator. My wife bought you the first car and we even have MPESA messages of the money we used to send you for upkeep. Respect elders," he said.

A cornered Murkomen could only say 'you see Hussein, he's going personal' as the debate excited millions of Kenyans watching.

While Murkomen maintains that farmers should diversify their farming approach, Kutuny insisted that there is maize shortage in the country thus the need to support maize farming.
