Writing on Facebook the outspoken MCA condemned police officers of constant harassment and decried the manner in which the law enforcers managed Friday's ugly protest by bodaboda riders over a hit and run vehicle that led to the death of their colleague.

"Some of the police officers from outside Kapsoit have also become notorious in harassing members of the business community in Kapsoit. Yesterday they went harassing patrons and owners of bars and destroyed property worth millions of shillings in Kapsoit." Read part of the post.

The Kapsoit MCA announced that they resolved that Bodaboda riders would adhere to rules, vet their own members, while also reporting those who engage in criminal activities to authorities.

He further regretted the way residents were handled by anti-riot cops during and after the demos that saw a government car razed to ashes after accidentally hitting and killing motorcycle rider. 

He also asked for the immediate release of the confiscated motorcycle.

"Police officers attached to Kericho/Nyagacho Police Stations who were involved in lobbing teargas canisters yesterday and harassing peaceful patrons/Bar Owners and workers of Kapsoit to be reported to the officers in charge with a possible escalation of the matter to IPOA."
