Renowned Kikuyu radio presenter Waithiria Muithirania is now back.
The most celebrated and influential journalist has rejoined the Royal media Inooro Fm after she left two years ago. She will be replacing Cua Cua duo Man Simo and Katta who has since left the radio to unconfirmed destination.
She will be hosting the evening show alongside Karuimbo Mukurino.
In a Facebook post, head of radio Wanjiku wa Gitonga confirmed that the radio queen will be on air starting from Monday next week.
Waithira had quit radio few months to 2017 general elections to vie for Murang'a women representative but she failed to oust Sabina Chege.
She had started her radio career in early 2000 at KBC Coro Fm before joining Inooro immediately after it was launched.
Before she quit radio, she hosted the Hagaria morning breakfast show.
She is a recipient of Head of State Commendation(HSC) for her outstanding job in media in advocating for human rights.
In January this year, President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed her as Board Member of Kenya Industrial Estates Limited.
In her acceptance statement, she thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta and Cooperatives and Trade CS Peter Munya for believing in her and promised to do her best for the corporation which is critical in the realisation of one of Uhuru's Big Four agenda.
