Former Citizen TV journalist turned politician David Makali has reportedly been kicked out of Ababu Namwamba's Labour Party (LP).
It is believed LP delegates were angered by Makali who has been serving as the party's secretary general, after he revealed that he had been holding talks with principals of the National Super Alliance (Nasa), with intentions of LP joining the alliance.
A local online newspaper reported that LP National Executive
Council (NEC) were not happy with Makali's move, given that some have been supporting Jubilee party's president Uhuru Kenyatta re-election.
This was confirmed by LP Youth Treasurer, Ignatius Nyukuri.
The delegates reportedly sacked the Bungoma County senatorial hopeful, for intentions to 'sale' the party, and accused him of failing to popularise it at his backyard.
LP Organising Secretary, Peter ole Musei has been picked as Makali's successor in an Acting capacity.
