A member of parliament allied to the Jubilee Party has given conditions under which the Meru community will back DP William Ruto in 2022.
According to Tigania East MP Gichunge Kabeabea, if Ruto picks Munya as his running mate the support will be guaranteed.
According to the lawmaker, Munya who is the EAC Cabinet Secretary qualified for the positions.
Speaking on Friday, Kabeabea said that Munya's development track record speaks for itself.
"In 2022, we will support him for 2022 but on condition, he picks Munya to be his deputy. We want Munya as his Deputy because Meru community has never had a higher national leadership post of that calibre," Kabeabea said.
He was speaking at Mukuiru Secondary School when he issued Sh 400,000 to reconstruct three dormitories that were burned down recently.
