Mudavadi landed in Budalang'u constituency where he held closed-door meetings with local leaders as well as youth.

Interestingly, Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba was nowhere to welcome the National Super Alliance architect.

He, however, held talks with Funyula MP Paul Otuoma and veteran politician and former MP John Osogo.

Mudavadi began his countrywide tour in Western and is expected to play an instrumental role in mobilizing opposition politicians in strengthening NASA.

NASA is an opposition alliance that brings together Mr Mudavadi, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Busia, the county where he kickstarted his tour from overwhelmingly voted for Mr Odinga during the 2013 general election.

He made the visit to the county less than one week after Mr Odinga made a visit to launch the mass voter registration exercise.
