Mombasa-based musician Akothee has warned journalists against prying into her private life.

Akothee claimed that journalists had been camping at her home following claims that she had gone mad.The rumours emerged after she was spotted wailing in the streets of Mombasa during the video shoot of her latest song ‘Babby Daddy’.In an Instragram post, Akothee blasted the journalists, telling them to keep off her personal life.“Well am told there are media personalities camping at my gate demanding for an interview, well you were told I went mad, so how can a mad woman compose herself to talk?” read the post in part.She further alleged that the reporters had gone to the extent of interviewing her workers to find out how much she pays them.“You went ahead to interview my workers on how much they are being paid per month, and if they have seen me act funny, halooo!! What I owe media is good music, leave my personal life alone, collect private info’s on my page, but invading my homes!!!!"“That’s a call, soon you will attack my kids in school and ask if I pay school fee or not, or ask my dogs how many times they eat biscuits, am a private citizen, am not a public servant entitled for investigations, the link in my bio tells you if I went mad or not, have you put it on rotation yet. But any way am still mad. When I get sober I will catch up with you baby daddy," she wrote.
