Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has said that all county pubs will be investigated on how they pay for their businesses.
According to him, it has been discovered that a section of pub owner in Nyamira do not pay for their business licenses.
Addressing the press in Nyamira town on Monday, Nakoru said investigation is going to be conducted to arrest those operate illegally and will face a serious action against them.
“We have information that a section of pub owners in this county do not pay for their business, they operate illegally without having business licenses, we have commenced the investigation over the same,” said Nakoru
He accused county officers of collecting money from business owner without giving licenses as it required by the government and told them to trade carefully because the government needs money for improving the economy of the country.
“I am advising business owners in this county to make sure they have business licenses if cornered will face the law,” warned Nakoru.
