Amani National Congress (ANC) deputy party leader Kipruto Arap Kirwa saying he has learned that he has been registered as a Jubilee party member.
According to Kirwa, this revelation was a possible way of barring him from vying for any political seat on an ANC ticket.
"I am shocked to discover that my ID has been registered as a member of the Jubilee Party," he said.
"This means that if I don't remove myself as a member of the Jubilee party and present my document I will be told that I already belong to another political party and that may lead to an automatic disqualification," he added, Monday.
Kirwa claimed that someone must have picked his ID number from an Mpesa agent and since he was a Kalenjin, decided to register him as a Jubilee party member.
"This is serious because somebody may have picked my name from an Mpesa agent and since I am a Kalenjin then I must be a Jubilee party member," he said.
He has called on the Registrar of Political Parties to take note of the errors and do a cleanup.
"I hope the relevant institutions have been listing to our views and should conduct a cleanup on the register," he said.
