The National Super Alliance (NASA) is likely to front Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi or Ford Kenya Leader Mose Wetangula if the case filed against Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga goes through.
Humans Right Africa has filed a case against the former prime minister claiming that he is unfit to rule this nation.
The lobby group has cited different scandals in which the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader has been mentioned including kazi kwa vijana project, maize scandal, the Triton Oil scandal and Kisumu molasses plant among others.
Through its lawyer Robert Onyango, the human rights group wants the court to bar Raila from contesting for Presidency in the forthcoming general polls.
“It is in public knowledge that investigations in the above-mentioned scandals have never been concluded, and even if concluded, the reports have never been made public or acted upon,” the court papers read, as quoted by Standard.
If this happens, supporters of the former prime minister will have to decide whether they will back any other candidate or not. A few weeks ago, a section of leaders from Raila’s backyard claimed No Raila No NASA. Kalonzo stands a better chance to win the nation’s top seat than other leaders of the alliance, argue Ukambani leaders.
