Jubilee Party Budalang'i constituency Chairman Siduwa Wesonga and Secretary General Mbagha Ghero said their task of marketing the party in Budalang'i had proved difficult.

They decamped as they addressed a press conference at a hotel in Port Victoria, Budalang'i on Monday.

"Marketing Jubilee here is difficult," Siduka told reporters.

"Our analysis has shown majority of the people support NASA and Jubilee has limited chances of gaining popularity."

They said the Jubilee administration had done little to transform the lives of the people of Budalang'i.

Siduka and Mbagha urged Budalang'i MP aspirant (Jubilee Party) Raphael Wanjala to decamp to the National Super Alliance since the political outfit enjoys a majority support in the far-flung constituency.

Others who joined the two in decamping to ODM included MCA aspirants Oniang' Wanga (Bunyala West) and Geoffrey Ouma (Bunyala South).

Wanjala is expected to challenge current MP Ababu Namwamba who in July 2016 left ODM and relaunched the Labour Party of Kenya which, he expects to ride on in defending his seat in the August 8, polls.

Some of the high profile politicians who recently decamped from Jubilee and joined ODM include former ambassadors Chirau Ali Mwakwere (Tanzania) and Prof Sam Ong'eri (UN-Habitat).

Mwakwere will vie for the seat of governor (Kwale) while Ongeri is gunning for the post of Senator (Kisii).
