NASA received a boost yesterday when Kenya National Congress party officially confirmed that it will support its candidate for presidency.

Part chair Manson Nyamweya confirmed this ruling out any possibilities that the party will work with Jubilee.

He said that the opposition was the only coalition in Kenya that will save the people from poverty.

“Jubilee party has a lot of unanswered questions and KNC cannot work with such people who are blamed of corruption everywhere,” he said.

Mr Nyamweya said that the party would field candidates in all peripheral positions apart from the Presidency.

“As a party we have decided that we shall back ODM leader Raila Odinga but if NASA settles on anyone else we shall still support him,” he said.

Part Secretary General Ogembo Masese also confirmed it saying that NASA had decided to work with the opposition for the better of the people.

"In Gusii leaders affiliated to Jubilee are lying to the public but we shall ensure that they never get votes in the main elections," he said.

In the last elections KNC was being led by Peter Kenneth who ran for presidency and lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mr Kenneth is now eyeing the Nairobi County gubernatorial seat.
