There was drama in Karatina town earlier today as angry youth barricaded roads and flagged down vehicles heading to the late Governor Wahome Gakuru’s funeral service claiming they are looking for Raila Odinga.
The incident that happened immediately the entourage bearing the remains of the late Nyeri Governor snaked through the town caused a major traffic gridlock along the busy Nairobi- Karatina highway.
Youths took to the highway chanting anti-Raila songs when it was hinted that the opposition leader will be passing through the town on his way to the funeral.
This forced motorists to stop as the rowdy mob searched everywhere including car boots and underneath inquiring angrily the whereabouts of Raila Odinga.
They promised to keep alert the whole day and ensure Raila does not pass through.
