The family is the  core of our societies, the place where we first find our identity. Families are meant to be a place of refuge, the place where we go to find comfort, the place where we are meant to get love from those closest to us. This is what God designed families to be but unfortunately, it is not always the case in this fallen world.

So many people have little to no identity with their families or relatives. It’s sad that some families are no place of refuge for their members. It’s sad that the place where we are supposed to be built has turned out to be the very place where we are destroyed.

Many are the times we hear of people being sexually and physically abused by their very own relatives. The place we call family, where we are supposed to feel secure, has turned out to be the most insecure place for many people today, and because of this, such individuals have a great chance of turning to the wrong things, in search of love and security that they lacked at home.

The reason why we find problems in families today is that we live in a fallen world and nature as human beings, we are sinners, we are imperfect!

We also need to deal with the issues in our lives, so that we can cope and move on to live a better life. We need to find someone whom we could talk with and walk with. No man is an island- no one can survive alone
