The Kenyan Premier League has accepted the resignation of James Musyoki as the chair.
Consequently, a confirmation statement has been issued that Ambrose Rachier will be the new chairman.
Musyoki became the chair after Tusker FC won the 2016 Premier League.
Musyoki will be replaced by Rachier, who was the league chairman for three successive years; 2014, 2015 and 2016 .
Rachier’s tenure will be restricted to six months.
“As per KPL policy following the KPL Governing Council Resolution of 18 December 2013, Gor Mahia Football Club Chairman, Mr. Ambrose Rachier will take over as KPL Chairman for the next 6 months before relinquishing the position to the incoming Tusker Football Club Chairman,” the statement reads in part.
