State House spokesperson Manoah Esipusi has said there is nothing wrong with civil servants campaigning and attending political organized by government. Esipisu said that the civil servants are only accounting for their work and resources allocated to them.

Speaking during his weekly press briefing, Esipisu said the senior civil servants, including cabinet secretaries, Principal Secretaries and other senior staff, have to account on the progress made by the Jubilee government since assuming office.

“They have to account for the progress the administration of Uhuru since taking office, and they have to account for the confidence invested in them by the Kenyan people, the right time they must also be asked to account for how they invested the money regarding projects undertaken,” Esipisu said.

Cabinet Secretaries have been under attack by what the opposition claims is involving in politics while in office, Esipisu however denied claims that the civil servants are campaigning for President Kenyatta.

Esipisu  explained that what might seem to be campaigning are merely descriptions of the gains made in the Jubilee's administration.
