Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed now says that opposition alliance NASA has a bigger problem with IEBC boss Wafula Chebukati than CEO Ezra Chiloba.
Speaking on Citizen TV Tuesday, Mohammed said that the chair committed a bigger mistake in the nullified August 8 general election than the executive officer even though the alliance seems more comfortable with him now.
''Our push for Chiloba's ouster does not mean Chebukati was a saint. He actually hurt us more since he oversaw the entire process but never raised the red flag concerning the illegalities that were going on.He also proceeded to announce the fictitious results,'' he said.
Mohammed also defended the alliance from the rival Jubilee Party which has accused it of continued interference with the poll body with regards to the approaching polls.
He said that the alliance is only interested in ensuring that the poll is fair saying that its proposals are meant to better the situation.
''We are not against the IEBC's independence but are only committed to ensuring the election is better than the last one,'' said the lawmaker.
