The Employment and Labour Relations court on Thursday morning delivered the ruling, directing that the embattled IEBC boss should go back to work until the hearing and determination of his application against the compulsory leave he was forced to take.

Chairman Wafula Chebukati had sent Chiloba on leave in March 2018 to pave way for investigations on the irregular procurement of elections materials.

Chiloba had challenged his suspension in court on April 9, 2018, saying the move was wrong as he was not given a chance to defend himself.

On April 13, Justice Stephen Radido declined to suspend the forced leave pending the hearing of the petition challenging it.
