The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has revealed that NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga does not have a running-mate.

According to IEBC, NASA's proposed presidential running-mate Kalonzo Musyoka's name has not been submitted as Odinga's running-mate.

Instead, IEBC says, Musyoka's name has been submitted as the presidential candidate for Wiper.

Interestingly, Raila Odinga's name has been submitted for the same slot by his party ODM although the party did not include his running-mate.

A report released by IEBC on Saturday shows that out of the 19 presidential hopefuls, it is only President Uhuru Kenyatta who has submitted the name of his running-mate in William Ruto under the Jubilee Party.

However, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has said that political parties still have room to amend the the list by Sunday, May 21.

"Except for independent candidates, the list was generated by the Candidate Registration Management System (CRMS) which allowed political parties to submit their candidates on-line. The last date of submission was on May 16, 2017.

Political Parties and independent candidates are encouraged to review the list and provide any clarification and correction where required," IEBC said in the report.

"Most presidential and gubernatorial candidates are yet to submit names of their respective running mates," IEBC said.
