President Uhuru Kenyatta has launched two international hotels in Nairobi and laid the foundation stone for construction of Africa's tallest building in Nairobi.

Uhuru laid the foundation stone for the Pinnacle Tower, a building expected to be 70 storey and therefore Africa's tallest.

It's two towers in the Nairobi Upper Hill area will upon completion offer stylish commercial offices, luxury apartments as well as a five star Hilton Hotel, merged together by an entertainment centre and a three-storey shopping mall.

Speaking on Tuesday during the functions, the president lauded the new investments and said it would not only create new jobs but also change the skyline of Nairobi.

“We shall endeavour to partner with the private sector to create jobs for the youth. What we want is jobs for our people,” he said.

“Your choice to invest in Kenya is, indeed, a clear vote of confidence in the policy reforms we have been implementing in the recent past to make Kenya attractive and competitive and to reposition our tourism sector,” he added.
