Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday led a battery of opposition politicians to Wajir County for a vote-hunting mission.

The two were in the far-flung zone to campaign and bolster opposition's support ahead of the August general elections.

They also used the occasion to visit polling stations to see whether the BVR machines used for registering voters work.

"Keep registering," Kalonzo told Wajir residents in the company of former Parliament Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim.

"Together with God guiding us, we will help Kenya get back on its feet."

Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi assured the two leaders voters in the county will cast their votes for the opposition.

He said the Jubilee administration had done nothing in development in the region to warrant voters support it.

Abdullahi was among opposition leaders who vigorously campaigned for ODM party leaders Raila Odinga in North Eastern Kenya during the 2013 general elections.
