Kisii County commissioner Samuel Njora has banned night political meetings and campaigns a head of August polls.
According to him, due to security concerns politicians are not allowed to conduct political meetings and campaigns during night time.
Speaking on Thursday during the celebrations of Madaraka day at Gusii stadium, County Commissioner urged politicians to conduct their campaigns every day but before 6pm in the evening.
“If you have a political rally in this county you should inform OCS of the place you want to conductive your rally fo security reasons,” said Samuel Njora.
He also warned aspirants whose supporters clash while campaigning will be held personally responsible in the county.
“As the government our key mandate here is ensuring the County is secure,” added Njora.
He also urged youths not to be used by politicians to disrups other politicians rallies in the county.
“I call upon peaceful campaigns since this country remains to be ours let us foster peace,” he insisted.
The event was graced by kisii county governor James Ongwae, his deputy Joash Maangi among other politicians.
