Jomo Kenyatta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati has denied claims that he has ditched Jubilee party for Governor Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap party.

Nyambati however, denied confirming claims that he is intending to ditch Jubilee Party for a NASA friendly party before August elections.

“It is not true at all that I have joined Maendeleo Chap Chap Party. I have no idea about the party and I am only seeing similar claims on social media,” said the former Kitutu Masaba MP.

He added: “I am still working as JKF chairman and when that time comes (to make his political stand public) I will not hesitate to share it with my people.”

On Wednesday, in an audio released by his close confident, Nyambati was heard rebuking Jubilee party and considering options of joining the opposition.

He is said to be unhappy with Jubilee campaign team in Gusii under the leadership of Charles Nyachae and Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.

The former MP will be running for Nyamira gubernatorial seat and has been President Uhuru Kenyatta’s point’s man from Gusii region.
