Bungoma Primary School polling station in Nanyuki became a battle ground on Friday after police fired in the air to disperse rowdy youths who had allegedly intended to disrupt Jubilee nominations.
Reports that names of certain aspirants were missing on the ballot papers angered voters who engaged police officers in running battles.
At Kanyoni nursery school, voters burned ballot papers citing poor preparations, while others complained of the delays in voting kick off.
In some polling stations, voters started streaming in from as early as 3am, but had to wait for hours for ballot materials to arrive.
