In a tweet on Tuesday, Sifuna disagreed with the idea of Miguna filling forms to regularize his citizenship saying that it will validate the illegal deportation of Miguna.

Sifuna also believes the move by the Immigration Department is aimed at compromising a case that is already in Court concerning the earlier deportation of Miguna.

"You are making a bad situation worse. It appears your aim is to compromise the case in Court. The issue of whether or not he lost citizenship is in contention and applying a new wld validate your illegal deportation!" tweeted Sifuna.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Immigration Department had given a way forward for the easing of Miguna's entry into the country.

Miguna was called upon to regularize his citizenship, a move that will enable him enter the country and end the standoff that has been ongoing since the lawyer jetted into the country on Monday at 2.30 pm.

"IMPORTANT UPDATE: To enable Miguna regularize his citizenship status, the Department of Immigration has this morning dispatched the requisite application forms to JKIA for Miguna to duly fill for processing," read a tweet from the Immigration Department.
