[Photo: ERC]Consumers have started to enjoy a slight decrease in petroleum pump prices following a review by the Energy and Regulatory Commission (ERC).In Nairobi, the prices of Super Petrol decreased by Sh0.86, Sh1.16 for Diesel and Sh0.23 for Kerosene, per litre. The new pump prices announced by ERC Acting Director General Pavel Oimeke, took effect from June 15, to July 14."Prices for the rest of Kenya will drop by more or less the same margins," Oimeke said, Wednesday. He said the purpose of the fuel pricing regulations was to cap the pump prices of products which were already in the country, to recover the importation and other prudently incurred costs and ensure reasonable prices to consumers.
