Kenyans have been asked to prepare for rains as they cast their votes on Thursday in the repeat election.

The weatherman on Wednesday said there will be clouds in Central, Western Kenya and the coast.

Northeastern counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo will experience heavy rains and Ukambani will experience dark clouds. 

Meteorological services director Peter Ambenje said Nairobi, Embu, Nyeri, Meru, Nyandarua, Murang'a and Kiambu will have cloudy mornings with light rains over high ground areas. 

“Afternoon showers are expected over and several places on the Election Day and on Friday,” Ambenje stated.

Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma and Busia will experience morning rains over few places and afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Others are Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado, Kericho, Bomet.
