Former Nyamira County Assembly speaker who is also North Mugirango MP- elect Joash Nyamoko has said is going to contest for National Assembly Deputy Speaker’s seat.

Addressing the media on Friday Nyamoko noted that Nyamira county residents voted for president elect  Uhuru Kenyatta overwhelmingly in the just concluded august 8 polls and appreciation  should be given to Nyamira residents by Jubilee MPs by voting Nyamoko to be the deputy speaker  of the national assembly.

“I wish to be the national assembly deputy speaker and I am interested in looking for that post I hope jubilee MPs will vote for me,” said Nyamoko.

His sentiments were echoed by a section of Nyamira county Residents who claimed that Jubilee administration should give back to Nyamira people since they voted for Uhuru Kenyatta over 53 percent.

“Nyamoko was the county assembly speaker and he will make to be a good deputy national assembly speaker we call upon Jubilee MPs to vote for him,” said Charles Ndemo a resident.
