Kitui Woman Representative Nyiva Mwendwa has reached out to Senators David Musila and Johnston Muthama to go back to Wiper party.

Speaking on Saturday at Migwani during the burial ceremony of Kitui Senator David Musila's mother, Ms Mwendwa said the two leaders were among the pinnacles of Ukambani politics and that they should go back and offer support to Ukambani's biggest party (Wiper).

"You are some of the strongest pillars. As pioneers of Wiper, I can't sit and watch the house cave in," Mwendwa, who has retired from active politics, said.

But NASA co-principal and Ford Kenya leaders Moses Wetangula speaking at the event assured mourners that Musila had assured him he is still in support of NASA despite ditching Wiper.

Wetangula was at the funeral escorting Wiper leaer Kalonzo Musyoka.

Other leaders at the function included former Lands CS Charity Ngilu, Senators Johnston Muthama (Machakos) and David Musila (Kitui).
