Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga has been advised to seek legal redress concerning the 42 police officers he claims have been stationed as agents to rig elections on August 8.

Raila on Thursday claimed that the 42 officers are drawn from the General Service Unit, Kenya Airport Police Unit, Dog Unit and traffic unit and have a mandate known in police lingo as 'special duties'.Lawyer Harrison Kinyanjui said that the opposition leader should stop peddling lies but instead go to court to have the 42 arrested, charged and convicted."If indeed Raila has the information he claims to have, the most credible thing to do is to invoke the elections act, report the crime and have the said officers arrested, arraigned in court and appear there to testify against them," Kinyanjui told KTN News' Morning Express on Friday. The lawyer added that by Raila doing so 'the whole world will believe him': "As of now his allegations are just being seen as propaganda, escapist and a justification for his eventual loss."
