Deputy President William Ruto’s son Nick Ruto and gospel singer Bahati made a surprise landing in Soweto on Tuesday.

Nick, presumed to be following in the footsteps of his father, landed in a chopper at Soweto grounds, Embakasi, as he campaigned for his friend Francis Mureithi to clinch the Embakasi East Jubilee MP ticket.

The soft-spoken Nick surprisesd many when he landed with Mureithi and Bahati at the Soweto Slum

“We are here today to support our good, able and young friend Francis Mureithi for Embakasi East parliamentary seat,” Nick said amid cheers from the crowd.

Nick was seen mingling freely with the ghetto youths and promised to visit again Soweto only if they elected his friend.
