Speaking Wednesday at Kapkuto, Lagat said the projects in the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) had been implemented and he deserved another term to continue developing the region.

Lagat has been criticised for neglecting developments in the county despite the devolved system of governance.

“I want to stress that most of the developments were undertaken and you can witness them. There are those propagating lies during this campaigning period but I am happy that you are aware of what I have done,” Lagat said.

According to the governor, setting structures for the devolved system of governance was not a walk in the park saying it is all systems go now.

“I did most of the works setting up the systems which are now working. I want to ask you to support me for a second term in office because you have seen my fruits,” Lagat said.

He cautioned the electorate against being cheated adding that some of the candidates were using propaganda.

“This is the time to weigh your leaders and see what they have done that benefits the community. We can’t accept to be cheated to elect leaders whom they will disappear after getting the seats,” he added.
