Roba says that his government will ensure that every sub county gets equal share of public funds and other resources.
Speaking to journalists in Mandera on Tuesday, Roba said that claims that his government plans to discriminate on allocation on public resources are mere propaganda.
He said that there is a clear formula provided by the commission for revenue allocation on how counties should share funds with sub counties.
“I want to assure Mandera people that my government will exercise equality and fairness in distributing public resources,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.
The governor asked residents to ignore propaganda being peddled by poll losers. He said that poll losers are unhappy with his win and want to create enmity between him and the people.
Governor Roba also assured residents of an inclusive government.
He said that every group including women, youth and persons living with disabilities will be represented in his government.
Roba appealed to residents to work with him closely for the sake of development.
He said that his government is open up to suggestions and opinion from the public.
Governor Roba won re-election after defeating former Provincial Commissioner Hassan Noor Hassan.
Noor was contesting on Economic Freedom party (EFP) and has disputed Roba’s win alleging malpractices in vote tallying.
