ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) will hold a formal meeting with the governor before having lunch and subsequently addressing a rally in Bomet town in the afternoon.

Ruto has had a frosty relationship with Deputy President William Ruto and has been warming up to the opposition.

The Bomet meeting according to Raila will also be used promote bonding between the opposition leaders as they seek to form a formidable force that will take on President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August 8, elections.

The revelation about the rally was made at a press conference in Nairobi where Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula met to unveil NASA's National Coordinating Committee, a body that will be tasked to prepare its alliance's instruments ahead of its launch.

"On Saturday, we will be in Bomet," Raila said.

"We will be hosted by Governor Ruto as we move to tell Kenyans to register as voters in large numbers."

The meeting comes two months after Mr Odinga visited Governor Ruto in December when the county chief was attacked by rowdy youth said to be supporters of Parliament Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso.

Laboso is seeking for the Bomet governor seat on a Jubilee ticket.

"We want to bring hope and happiness back to the land, Kalonzo said at the press briefing.

"We promise the country that our team is taking Jubilee home. For Kenya to stand, Jubilee must fall."
