President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed that plans are underway to revive three factories that will effectively boost cotton farming in the country.

According to the head of state, Kisumu's Kicomi and Mountex in Central that collapsed long time ago will soon begin operations.

Already over sh3 billion has been allocated to another textile company in Eldoret town, Rivatex.

"Rivatex will start operations soon after the Government pumped in millions to revive it," noted Kenyatta during a visit at the Eldoret New KCC, Monday.

"We are also reviving Kicomi in Kisumu and Mountex in Central so that our cotton farmers can also get back their economic lifeline," he added.

The president further reiterated that the Jubilee agenda is to spur our economic growth by investing in development projects everywhere in Kenya.
