Jakoyo has insisted that it is not possible for him to go against the former prime minister and has vowed to campaign for him in the run up to the August 8th election despite running as an independent candidate.

"I believe this country needs change in leadership. I have said it before and I still believe Raila will be the best change this country will have," he said.

"It is not possible for me to be his enemy, we are his children and he is our baba and I will campaign for him. You can understand that as the leader of ODM party he has to back ODM candidates," he added.

The vocal legislator also believes that independent candidates from Nasa strongholds, especially in Nyanza and Western Kenya will back Odinga for the top.

"All of us who are independent candidates, especially in Nyanza and Western, are 100% behind Raila . I would rue the day that I even think of sabotaging the presidency of Raila. Even my wife will chase me away fro home," he said.

The Gem MP who lost to Elisha Odhiambo in the ODM nominations spoke on Thursday during an interview on NTV.
