Kenya Peace Reconciliation Organization which has been working closely with IDPs to preach peace and reconciliation across the country is worried over the ongoing political stalemate in the country.

Addressing media in Nakuru on the eve of Mashujaa Day, Stephen Mbugua said they cannot allow the country to go through what was experienced in 2007/2008.

While noting that as IDPS, they still have the scars of the post election violence of 2007, they vowed to ensure that all their members preach peace ahead of the October 26th repeat of presidential elections.

“We are calling on all IDPs under our umbrella and those who love peace to come out in large numbers on 26th and vote in Jubilee," Mbugua said.

He added: "We don’t want to go the 2007/2008 way again. The scars we felt are still live."

They condemned NASA for calling demos.

“We condemn the demonstrations that are being planned by Nasa on 26th of October for they might take this nation back to 2007/2008,”he said.
